I just moved to Arizona in December. I grew up in Michigan but spent the past six years living in Ohio! I'm definitely a fan of all teams Detroit (well, maybe not the Lions and certainly not U of M)

Hi! My name is Melissa, I go by Missy mostly. I was born and raised on Long Island, NY and moved to AZ when I was 15. I've been fortunate to do what I LOVE for a living! I've had my own radio shows... I work in film & TV...I've built a business.. I'm a published writer (Yet I can't type or spell worth a darn) And I am absolutely blown away by great art and photography...

I'm wondering if there is someone who is not afraid to just be silly? Someone that can laugh at life and not be afraid of spontaneity??? Someone that can really "feel" life as apposed to just going through it... Heels are nice but will she role up her jeans... wade in and get her feet wet??? Maybe even dirty? And love it?? And yes... It feels like we're still trying to live the model designed by our parents, grandparents, great grandparents. I don't think all that stuff works anymore, if it ever did. I think the world is changing and our life styles will likely be forced to change in fundamental ways soon anyway. So I'm interested in trying to see things as they are. And I'm still trying to figure out what does work. And I may never find it. But hopefully I'll get a little bit closer to it.

So I don't have a sales pitch. I'm not trying to sell any style of life to you. And I'm terrible at talking about myself really. I work at a gym so fitness and health is paramount in my life. I work out five days a week. I know its crazy but I really do love it. I have a sexy curvy body think 50's pin up ;) . I have to say, because this is a pattern I have seen, I am not a sports fan, I have given sports a fair chance and I just cannot get in to them. I would prefer someone who does not like sports, but I see that is nearly impossible. i'm a person with myriad interests. i'm addicted to typography, france, and coffee. i love enjoying life - and want to learn something every day. i wear my heart on my sleeve and laugh without embarrassment (sometimes with a snort). i worry about tiny things, and i'm honest to a fault. there's nothing more rewarding than to make someone smile - even better, to make them laugh.

i'm a huge people watcher. i like knowing about people - why they do what they do, what motivates them, scares them, inspires them. this also leads to me being one of the most open people you will probably meet. i'm very comfortable being me, and i think we're all here to learn from each other, n'est ce pas?

i'm attracted to people who know what they want, and they aren't afraid of going out and fighting for it. i thrive on communication, and adore people who let it go and open up.

I am 29 years old and am single. I work full time as an engineer and work on rockets and missiles. I am very close to my family and am looking for someone who is also very close with family. For fun I like to go new places, hiking, movies, etc.

I love to drink and play video games with my friends and be completely obnoxious.

I get super excited whenever someone says something like, "Can I ask you a strange question?"

Star gazing has to be my favorite thing to do. Evarrrr. As well as pondering about the possibility of life outside our galaxy.

I believe that you should enjoy the simple things in life, and the one of the keys to happiness is understanding yourself. I don't take myself too seriously and laugh at myself on a daily basis. Definitely a low stress drama-free type of guy. When things don't go how they are planned I don't worry and easily move on to Plan B, C, D, or.. well, you get the point. =) Some of the best experiences I've had are when things don't go according to plan. You never know what the day may hold for you!

I'm goal oriented and enjoy learning. I finally finished school and am starting to try some new things and get back into some of my old hobbies... for example... traveling, cruises, checked out a play, going out with friends more, and trying new things as they come up. Some things on the agenda... more plays (wicked or phantom ideally), more cruises (first one last year, must go again!!), traveling (Taiwan in the spring), fishing, and camping to name a few.
In short... always up for something!

I'm an optimist, and try to see the bright side of things (but know not may have a bright side). There is a reason why I'm an optimist but that's a story for antoher time.

What else... I'm originally from Colorado and my family is still back there. Family is very important to me, and I try to visit them at least a couple times a year. They usually come down here once a year, but usually before or after the triple digit wether... not that I blame them. =)

Also, I was born and raised a Bronco fan and watch them every Thursday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday depending (If you are a bronco fan go ahead and message me... we need to stick together and it's always more fun to watch the games with a good group of people!)

So in review I'm a nice/unique guy who can be a real ass, I'm working to smooth out my rough edges but keep finding new ones drat and/or curse. Oh and a dear old friend says that i must disclose "extremely Sarcastic and a bit broken"

A bit about me... I have lived in AZ my whole life and am proud of it! I just graduated from ASU with a degree in Elementary Education. My dream job is to become a Child Life Specialist and work with children in hospitals. I just finished a Child Life internship and am currently looking for jobs (as we speak!) I love traveling, running, yoga and being outdoors.

I'm a writer/editor for an online financial publication. I spend my life writing (at least if feels that way). When I'm not writing I'm at the gym, outdoors, sporting events, concerts, traveling, or kicking back at a bar or restaurant.

I'm always around and friends and family when I'm not at work.

I have everything I want in life right now except a partner to share it with. Since internet seems to be the way to go these days, I thought I would try and put out there what I am looking for.
The things I look for in a partner are things I have to offer in return. I love traveling and being outdoors - camping, fishing, you name it... I have been to over 10 countries and counting. My favorite was Mykonos Greece and I hope to own a house there one day. I found out I am a celiac 3 years ago and have become very fond of cooking and discovering new recipes. ummmm my mind is usually racing, i am told i have a crazy imagination, my mind is usually crammed with thoughts of the world and the life we, as human beings (we are still animals tho), live. *420* is where its at. i dont know what i would do without books, and i really don't know what im doing with my life yet-however i know that when i figure it out, it will be mine.

Living in Phoenix because its near my family, but really miss green trees, mountains, water (i mean the kind that's native to its environment, although a day at the surrounding phx lake is not a wasted day for sure!). I enjoy being outside and doing outdoor activities, such as biking, hiking, camping, swimming, and therefore I am an environmentalist. I try and live a healthy lifestyle and don't care too much about making a crapload of money and driving fancy cars. I love to travel, i've traveled the world a bit and plan on doing more. Different cultures fascinate me, as does the food from different cultures. love to eat good food. I'm a painter, I like art. I am an art teacher for little kids and feel proud of my current career. My family is very important to me, and I love to hang out with them. I have a great dog!

Most of my relationships have been strong and long leaving me with the short end of the stick at the end. I don't cheat. I need a smart girl. I can't handle the other. I don't really know why I am on here? Trying new things like every one else says. I don't go out to bars/clubs but I used to. Traveling/Camping/Hunting/Fishing. I moved over here in 2002 from east Texas where I grew up. I love sports and all Dallas teams. Az teams take a backseat but are sitting in second. I grew up playing every sport.. Mainly baseball. I'm currently still taking college classes and living in downtown Scottsdale. Spring training around the corner in 2 ways. Can't wait.

Hi. I just moved back to Phoenix to give university another try. I'm getting back into things, mostly philosophy and art. Mostly I read and write and paint. I consider being creative to to be one of the defining features of being human. If I'm not doing something creative or productive I often feel at a loss. I think it's just a desperate attempt on my part to differentiate myself and justify my existence, as if I can leave enough trash to show that I am around for a reason. I love books of all sorts but mostly read experimental stuff. Or what I think of as experimental. I like things that try stuff differently and give me a reason to think. I gravitate towards authors that make me excited about writing. Burroughts, Beckett, George Bataille, Kobo Abe. I love music but I'ven't any talent at it, so only an affectionist's understanding of it. Guess what, I'm kinda an introvert and an indoors sort of person.

Hey there. I moved here recently from Oregon after grad school. I'm committed to doing meaningful work in the world, learning and growing personally, and being active and having fun.

My self summary... hmm... I am a home-body, enjoy doing handy work around the house, being with my family and friends, and most of all -- LAUGHING. I am a little shy in public situations, but once people loosen up a bit I start to become less self-conscious. Other times, I just behave crazy and don't care... All depends on the vibe I guess.

I work on a computer all day, leading to a lot of angst to get done with work and "do something" -- be it go bike riding, work in the garden, entertain myself with this new fangled "digital video recorder" I discovered, etc.

Moved to AZ from Suffolk County, NY when I was about 13 and have lived here ever since, except for a brief stint back in NY and in Tucson, AZ during college.

I am 54 but people have told me my whole life that I look a lot younger. They said that I'd appreciate that when I got older. It was annoying but now that I'm older, I do appreciate that. In other words, I'm old and deluded. I'm in really good shape, on the thin side, because I'm running all the time in training for a marathon. (Update 1/18- ran in the marathon with a time of 3 hours and 51 minutes. If you don't know anything about running, that is an Olympic time. If you do know about running, it's a very good time for a 54 year old.) Have had an interesting life. Been to Europe, worked on a cattle ranch in Wyoming. Met the dad of Glenn Close when he fixed my finger after I cut the end off at the cattle ranch. Made a living making sculptures of buildings for a while. Worked in a mill in Massachusetts. I've been teaching special ed. kids for the past seven years and sometimes I really love it. Worked in the printing industry for 15 years before and hated that. I have two sons and was married for 22 years to a wonderful woman. (Some of that last sentence is true.) I've been divorced since last year and looking to get into a serious relationship- not that serious- we can smile sometimes.

I lived in upstate New York til I was 18 then moved out here to go to school. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in Marketing...but haven't used it yet. Still don't really know what I want to do with my life. Mostly I enjoy just bumming around, hanging with friends, watching movies, and having a good time. I quote movies alot, but at appropriate times. I'm a pretty easy going and usually get along with anyone. I also like to watch on the spanish channels and try to guess on what I think they are saying but I really have no clue. If you have any other questions just ask.

I am a tall, skinny white boy. I try and find the humor in nearly every situation. I believe life is just too short to walk around in a funk and I refuse to dwell in unhealthy situations, emotionally or physically, for any extended periods of time. I believe I was born without the governor between my brain and my mouth which typically results in me saying exactly what is on my twisted mind.

I am a transplant from Baltimore, MD. I still cling to a lot of my East Coast mannerisms, but I have definitely adapted to the western pace.

Five and a half years ago I quit drinking and I have to say it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I do not possess robes or a gavel, so I am not going to judge you if you enjoy drinking. However, if your only means of entertaining yourself is by seeing your reflection in the bottom of a gin glass, please keep looking elsewhere. If all your stories start with "I was so drunk...." then I will not be interested in you.
